A journey through the spectacular landscapes of the Calchaquí Valleys, connecting the provinces of Tucumán and Salta and combining mountain scenery, archaeological heritage, indigenous culture, and wine tourism.
The tour begins in Tafí del Valle, a picturesque mountain destination surrounded by green valleys and impressive peaks. We continue towards Amaicha del Valle, an area known for its ancestral traditions and indigenous heritage.
We then visit the Quilmes Ruins, one of the most important pre-Hispanic archaeological sites in Argentina. Here, we explore the remains of the ancient Quilmes settlement and learn about the history and way of life of this ancestral culture.
The journey continues along National Route 40 towards Cafayate, traveling through the Calchaquí Valleys and enjoying their impressive landscapes, colorful mountains, and vineyards.
Upon arriving in Cafayate, we explore this renowned wine-producing destination, famous for its high-altitude vineyards and Torrontés wines.

Recommendations
Comfortable footwear, sunscreen, a hat or cap, water, and a light jacket are recommended due to the altitude and temperature variations along the route. A camera or cell phone with sufficient battery is also recommended to capture the archaeological sites, mountain landscapes, valleys, and vineyards.
