About

The excursion departs from Cafayate and takes us through the spectacular landscapes of the Calchaquí Valleys towards the archaeological site of the Quilmes Ruins, one of the most important pre-Hispanic settlements in Argentina.

The Quilmes people developed an advanced settlement system adapted to the mountainous environment. During the visit, we explore the remains of houses, terraces, defensive structures, and other archaeological remains while learning about the history and traditions of this ancestral culture.

We then continue to Amaicha del Valle, where we can discover the local indigenous heritage and traditions. The journey continues towards Tafí del Valle, a picturesque mountain destination surrounded by valleys and impressive landscapes.
