About

The excursion departs from San Salvador de Jujuy towards Libertador General San Martín. A few kilometers away, we reach the entrance to Calilegua National Park, Argentina’s largest biosphere reserve and one of the most diverse rainforest environments in the country.

Inside the park, we explore different trekking trails, with the difficulty adapted to the group, allowing us to observe the lush vegetation of the Yungas, as well as birds, mammals, and the wide biodiversity characteristic of this region.

After the trekking, the tour continues by vehicle along spectacular scenic roads through the rainforest until reaching the La Mesada de las Colmenas Ranger Station.

As an optional activity, we can continue to the Jordán River and then travel another 10 km to the town of San Francisco, where visitors can find places to eat and rest in a community representative of the Jujuy foothills.

Another alternative is to visit Aguas Calientes and enjoy the Caimancito Hot Springs.

An ideal experience for those seeking pristine nature, rainforest, trails, and close contact with the biodiversity of the Jujuy Yungas.
