About
The excursion departs from Salta towards the province of Jujuy, crossing the spectacular landscapes of the Quebrada de Humahuaca and ascending towards the high-altitude Puna region.
We pass through Purmamarca, a picturesque Andean village located at the foot of the famous Cerro de los Siete Colores. We then continue along the winding Cuesta de Lipán, ascending through the mountains until reaching Salinas Grandes.
At the salt flats, we enjoy the vast white landscape characteristic of this region and learn about the traditional salt extraction carried out by local communities.
The excursion offers an opportunity to experience the unique landscapes of the Puna and discover one of the most iconic natural attractions of northern Argentina.

Recommendations
Comfortable footwear, warm clothing, sunscreen, a hat or cap, sunglasses, and plenty of water are recommended. Due to the altitude and strong sunlight in the Puna, it is important to stay well hydrated and protect yourself from sun exposure. A camera or cell phone with sufficient battery is also recommended to capture the spectacular landscapes.
