The excursion takes us to the foothills of the San Javier mountain range, west of San Miguel de Tucumán, where we discover two of the province’s most charming mountain destinations: San Javier and Villa Nougués.
We travel through the lush vegetation of the Yungas and ascend towards San Javier, enjoying spectacular panoramic views of San Miguel de Tucumán and the surrounding valleys. We visit the famous Cristo Bendicente, one of the area’s most recognizable landmarks.
We then continue to Villa Nougués, a picturesque mountain village known for its beautiful gardens, elegant architecture, and peaceful atmosphere. We explore the village and its surroundings while enjoying the natural landscapes of the Tucumán mountains.

Comfortable footwear, sunscreen, a hat or cap, water, and a light jacket are recommended due to the changing temperatures in the mountains. A camera or cell phone with sufficient battery is also recommended to capture the panoramic views, architecture, and landscapes of San Javier and Villa Nougués.
