Arrival at Salta Airport and pick-up of the rental car to drive to the hotel in the city of Salta. Accommodation.

Then, you can visit some of the city's most emblematic places, such as Parque 9 de Julio, the Cathedral, the Archaeological Museum, Cerro San Bernardo, or the famous MAAM (Museum of High Altitude Archaeology). In the evening, you can enjoy Salta's nightlife.

After breakfast, departure along Route 68, passing through Cerrillos, La Merced, and El Carril until reaching the town of Coronel Moldes, where the “Parador Salta Rafting” is located just a few kilometers away.

Here, you will enjoy an incredible experience: rafting on the Juramento River. After receiving the necessary equipment, we will begin the descent through the rapids of the Juramento River. There are 10 Class III rapids and 5 Class II rapids, surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the canyon.

The rafting begins at the base and ends 12 kilometers downstream at a place known as “Los Lapachos.” The return journey takes approximately 20 minutes.

Upon arrival, the parador offers the possibility of having lunch before continuing the journey to Cafayate.

Along the way, you will enjoy incredible landscapes such as “Devil’s Throat,” “Los Médanos,” and others.

Overnight in Cafayate.

After breakfast, we will set off along Route 40 through the Calchaquí Valleys, a system of valleys in the eastern section of the Andes.

The next stop will be Quebrada de Las Flechas, which can be explored on a short walk.

Arrival in Molinos. A visit to the church and the adjacent historic building, where Don Nicolás Severo de Isasmendi, the last Spanish royal governor, once resided, is recommended.

The “Crafts Route” is the next attraction to discover on the way from Molinos to Cachi.

Cachi is one of the most charming towns in the Calchaquí Valleys, where you can visit San José Church, an architectural monument built of adobe, whose façade is crowned by three old hanging bells; the “Pío Pablo Díaz” Archaeological Museum; and the cemetery, from where you will have the most beautiful view of the town, the inner valley, and the southern part of the Calchaquí Valleys.

We will then continue the journey for approximately 157 km to Salta, along the Tin-Tin Straight and through Los Cardones National Park.

Overnight in Salta.

Departure from the city of Salta towards the Tastil Ruins. We will then arrive at San Antonio de los Cobres (3,775 m above sea level), where we will have lunch and take a short visit around the town.

We will continue the journey along Route 40, crossing one of the most desert-like areas of Argentina.

Once in the Province of Jujuy, we will reach Salinas Grandes (vast flat salt plains), where we will admire the immensity of this region.

We will continue along Cuesta de Lipán until reaching Purmamarca, one of the most typical towns in the Humahuaca Gorge, with its Hill of Seven Colors and the charm of the region's traditional houses.

Continuation of the journey to the town of Tilcara.

Overnight in Tilcara.

In Tilcara, you can visit the Archaeological Museum and the fascinating ruins of the Pucará fortress, a traditional construction of the indigenous Inca inhabitants.

We will then continue the journey to the town of Humahuaca, with the possibility of visiting Huacalera and Uquía along the way.

In the afternoon, return to the city of Salta.

After breakfast, transfer to Salta Airport to return the rental car and take the flight to the next destination.
